About us
'Tigh Eachainn' translates as 'Hector's House' and is situated on 'Cnoc Falasgeir' or 'Beacon Hill'. This last name was handed
down in our family - you won't find it on the Ordnance Survey map!
Breakish is a crofting township, although many crofts have fallen into disuse. But you can still expect to see wandering sheep and a few cows grazing. Quite a few people have horses nowadays. Our croft is in the early days of conversion to a woodland croft, so we ask that you be careful of the young saplings which are planted some distance from the house. (You may see deer from time to time who are attracted by the young trees.)
